Confidence
Confidence is the firm belief that you can do something. It is important to have confidence in your own abilities when you're working to build what you're here to build. Confidence is activating your talents even when it seems that things are stacked against you.
As an educator and new entrepreneur, you may often deal with imposter syndrome or self-doubt during this process.
The truth is, we are here to fulfill the work that we're here to fulfill. And if we believe in and have confidence in that, we can support our own selves and start to keep our promises to ourselves. When we keep our promises to ourselves, we build our self-confidence and are able to move fully into the work that we're here to do.
I understand. I found myself in an internal struggle about what I was here to do. I knew my purpose, yet found myself still looking for approval from people outside of my area of expertise. I also wondered if I was really making an impact with my work. With these thoughts, I began to shrink. I had to come to my senses and deeply realize that my work is for me to do no matter what other people may think or say, or what I may think people will think or say. I had to create and fulfill my purpose because that is just what I am meant to do. My purpose is here to be activated and to impact those I am here to serve. I had to set an intention, shift my mindset, get clear on my next direction, and take action on things that I said I would get done. Including completing my promises to myself and being very intentional about that.
I know many of you may stop doing something that is near and dear to you, yet later you realize that what you stopped was just what you and others needed in the moment. You are ready to complete the work you are here to do. It is time to build your confidence and activate your work.
Now, let’s get to your truth. What have you started and then stopped due to lack of confidence? What have you promised yourself that you still need to complete? What are you going to do to shift how you show up for yourself and your life at this time?
What we do and create, we get to share as gifts to those we are here to serve. This is the impact we are here to make. It is essential to believe in yourself, your abilities, and your capability to create the life you have been dreaming of.
It is time to do what you are here to do. It is time to complete what you promised yourself that you would complete when you started. Doing this helps strengthen your internal trust and moves you closer to deepening your confidence. Below is my five steps to activating your confidence and doing more of what you love.
5 Steps to Activate Your Confidence and Do More of What You Love
Identify Your Burning Desire – what is it that you really want to accomplish?
Set Your Intention – what do you want out of your moment? What experience? This week? This month? Or this year?
Shift Your Mindset – Assess what you think or say to yourself regularly. Then create the positive and uplifting thoughts and words you want to say to yourself. Grab my Shifting Your Beliefs Process to further help you in your process.
Create What You Will Focus On-Now that you’ve done the work on your mindset, decided what you want to focus on and create this year and then create the action steps you need to take to bring that goal into reality.
Take Action - What will you activate today? This week? This Month? Quarterly?
If it's a task, like maybe writing a poem or writing a chapter of a book, make sure that you actually activate that daily and get it done!
Take the steps above and be sure to take consistent action and keep your promises to you.
Doing this will help you build more confidence, and belief in you and your ability to do the work that you're here to do.
